Drive 3–4 hours to Lake Manyara National Park, with lunch en route. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in this stunning and diverse park.

Lake Manyara is known for its dramatic scenery—bordered by the towering cliffs of the Great Rift Valley and featuring a blend of forest, acacia woodland, open plains, and the beautiful soda lake that gives the park its name. Wildlife commonly spotted includes hippos, elephants, giraffes, buffalo, impala, wildebeest, zebra, dwarf mongooses, hyraxes, and occasionally the famous tree-climbing lions and elusive leopards.

The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, dropping nearly 2,000 feet and spanning 250 square kilometers. Its enclosed ecosystem supports over 20,000 large animals, including black rhino, elephants, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and an extraordinary diversity of herbivores. The area is also home to more than 40,000 Maasai pastoralists who live in harmony with wildlife—a unique conservation model found nowhere else in the world.
